New Audi A6

audi a6Audi, as well as promised, has presented on December 1st the new generation of model А6. In design you won't notice any global changes. Certainly, the form of headlights and front fenders became a little another, there appears new headlights, and all others body elements changes too. But the general style is remained former. Thus – the present surprise – new Audi 6 hardly became shorter than model known to us (-12 mm). The wheelbase has grown at once on 69 mm, became more and width – plus 19 mm.

And in interior all too is familiar. As a matter of fact, interiors А6 almost differ nothing from already on sale A7 Sportback. And to be surprised is not necessary – by working out of interior Audi professes the maximum conservatism. Besides it is healthy conservatism, after all very small amount of people can find any miscalculations in ergonomics cars of this mark.

By quantity every possible updates Audi A6 will resemble too on A7 Sportback. Among interesting things is possible to note system of active cruise-control which supervises space round the car and if necessary can slow down itself, system of night vision, automatic jockey, function tach-ped (it is possible to write a finger). And still the car will equip at once with three kinds of headlights: halogen, bi-xenon and completely light-emitting diodes.

Situation with engines are following. Under a cowl of new Audi 6 is decided to put petrol motors in volume of 2,8 l (atmospheric, 204 h.p.), 2,0 l (the turbine, 211 h.p.) and 3,0 l (the turbine, 300 h.p.). Diesel engines will be in volume 2,0 l (177 h.p.) and 3,0 l (204 h.p. or 245 h.p.). Gear boxes: mechanics, variator Multitronic (for versions with a forward control) and robot with two clutches S tronic (for all-wheel drive cars, and such А6 will have not system Torsen, and differential of the raised friction with moment distribution in the ratio 40:60 in favor of a rear axle).

Will also appear Audi A6 Hybrid where the gasoline engine in volume 2,0 (211 h.p.) will work together with 33-kilovatt electromotor and litievo-ion accumulators. Such car can be dispersed to 100 km/h for 7,3 sec, and average fuel consumption of a hybrid will make 6,2 l on 100 km of a way (truth, here it is necessary to notice that the 204-strong diesel engine spends only 5,2)
